When one spends years in the lab doing research - be it on acoustics, sound or anything else – many hours are given to philosophical musings. Now that you’re part of our Thinklabs community, we can share some of these questions, and hopefully you can share some of your thoughts.
Where is the heartbeat used in music?
We're aware of Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon, one of the best-selling albums of all time. Any others?
Why do we enjoy music?
What biological, evolutionary, survival, spiritual function does music fulfill? Why does the rhythmic, harmonic vibration of the eardrums produce such pleasure?
