CBS insisted on capturing an absolutely authentic recording of Mark
Sanchez’ heartbeat for their Superbowl message. They contacted
cardiologists at Harvard Medical School (Massachusetts General Hospital)
who recommended that CBS work with Thinklabs. Achieving the best
possible heart sound quality is central to our technology and research.
Helping raise awareness of women’s heart disease is central to our
values.
We’ve become
a favorite among the broadcast community for live recording and capture
of heart sounds for TV talk shows, and now for elite athletic
heartbeats.
The ds32a has established a strong and loyal following
in the clinical and academic world, with tens of millions of physician
exams done every year with a Thinklabs stethoscope. But getting an
audience of over 90 million – that’s a first for us, and we suspect
probably a record for the number of people to simultaneously hear one
man’s heartbeat.
We’d like to give a shout out to Mark Sanchez for giving his time to the
cause of heart disease in women, and to CBS for raising awareness among
women to learn more about the symptoms of female heart disease which
can be different from those of men.
